Why it happens: W203 and W211 models are prone to EIS water intrusion, corrosion develops inside the module, degrading the logic board.

Burned ECU After Electrical Event (ME9.7, ME17, ME17.9)

Symptom: Engine won't start, fuel pump doesn't prime, or no communication with DME.

Why it happens: Alternator regulator failure, battery backward installation, or high-voltage transient can burn ECU components. The module may be beyond bench repair.
